Update for project team leads
Hi, Team leaders
You will have been emailed separately with stream sheets and run times. We have been doing a level of informal appraisals using a diverse judging group. Due to the ability to hide in the building, we have missed a number of you or under evaluated you. We have derived an informal leader board but the results and approach are incomplete. We have revised the following approach to get a group of 10 finalists for expert judging. All teams will now pre pitch to a group of 5 -6 judges between 1000-1200 Sunday morning. To get through in the time frame we will split the projects into two streams. Each stream will have its own pitch location , either WG 126 or WG 403. Each pitch gets 4 minutes and a 2 minute change over. We will have to be ruthless to get through on time. Please be prepared to start on time. The approach is use or lose your slot. As leader you are responsible for organising and communicating this change to your team Tim Hatherly Green will run a 20 minute Pitch Practice class in WG 126 at 0930 to help sharpen your approach. Those going first have had a more thorough degree of evaluation today. Those going last tend to have only been seen once or not at all. Our goal is to derive 10 finalists to pitch to the entire event and Panel post lunch. Feed back is that you guys are doing great work. Thanks for your cooperation. NB Please take timings seriously as you will only punish your team by starting late or failing to deliver the killing insights due to exceeding your time slot. Finalists will have 5 minutes in the afternoon. Also please declare if you consider your project non technical. First pitch slot is 10.06 in each room. Any questions - check in at HACKOps first thing
